Softball Bat Restrictions
For the safety of all the players, restrictions on what bats are allowed depends on the division. It is the responsibility of the opposing team to complain to the umpire if they think an illegal bat is being used. Please be considerate in following this rule, as the safety of all the players is our priority!
If you are unsure whether your bat can be used in the tournament please email softball@aaco-sf.org.
In the Recreational division, 100% composite bats are NOT allowed. However, bats with composite handles and aluminum barrels are OK.
In addition, bats on the ASA Non-Approved Bats List are restricted from play in both the Recreational and the Competitive divisions
