It's spring time again and AACO began another series of volunteer events with Asian Pacific Fund's "Growing Up Asian in America" contest. Between 2 Saturdays, March 8th and 15th, 40 AACO volunteers had a ton of fun working with the artwork and essays submitted by Bay Area school kids. We helped with receiving, opening, categorizing, and mounting hundreds of pieces of art and essays. Many volunteers found themselves side-tracked reading touching essays. The creativity and skill of these local artists continue to surprise the volunteers new and and old.
