Cal Academy of Science 150th
Anniversary Festival

On Saturday September 6th, AACO brought over 20 volunteers into Golden Gate Park to help at the Academy of Science's 150th Anniversary. There was live music, animal demonstrations (condors, bats, wild cats, bugs, bees, etc.), and dozens of community and environmental groups educating and entertaining everyone. AACO volunteers helped setup tents and air-filled mazes for kids, acted as guides through a "virtual rainforest", and sold thousands of drinks during a wonderful, sunny day in San Francisco. We all had a great time and once in a while we get lucky; as volunteers we helped ourselves to tons of free food and beer!
