Centennial of Flight
at Crissy Field

On Saturday October 18th, 18 AACO volunteers aided the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy at Crissy Field in celebrating 100 years of flight. The Centennial of Flight festival featured live music, giant kites, an airline fashion show, a replica of the Wright Brother's plane, kite making booths for the kids and other flight related activities. AACO volunteers helped with the festival setup and breakdown, staffed the registration and information booths, and helped out at the volunteer lunch area. We did a great job as the festival setup and breakdown were completed in record time!
Many volunteers even stayed multiple shifts and were able to take part in the festivities. Afterwards just about everyone went out for a little fun and dinner in the city!
