November 22, 2003

We had an extremely successful volunteer event at Sacred Heart Community Service this past Saturday! Over twenty AACO volunteers invested valuable time and energy to make Thanksgiving food boxes for low-income families. Sacred Heart is a Community Service Center that ministers to those in need, providing basic needs, tools for achieving self-sufficiency, and opportunities for volunteers to love, serve and share.

After three hours of fast paced teamwork, we were amazed by number of food boxes we had put together -- 1700 total!

Afterwards, most of the team met for dinner at Tomatina's in Santa Clara, to spend a little time getting to know each other, and enjoying each others company.

Thanks to all the AACO volunteers for helping to give a quality Thanksgiving to families who need it most!
