December 13, 2003

On Saturday, Dec. 13, the AACO staff & friends gathered to celebrate the Christmas holiday potluck at the warm residence of Billy's roommate's house in Sunnyvale. We had roughly 20 people showed up. The night started with a nice potluck meal ranging from spam musubi, tri-tip, lasagna, chicken, shrimp, fried rice, mabo tofu, greens, salsa and chips, eclairs, mini cheesecake, etc. Very delicious! Of course there was plenty of alcohol to go around and plenty of leftovers.

After the hearty dinner, we immediately jumped into the gift exchange. People waited eagerly for their turns, while intensity heightened as gifts shuffled back and forth...the final big winners were:

Billy: Started with a wine opener. Got that stolen and then got a yoga set and that was stolen too! He finally got stuck with a Chinese comic book, "Lau Foo Zhi." Watch out for this gift in next year's party :)

Jennifer Nguyen: She got the most fun gift, the Hulk Hands (with sound effects). We did some jabbing with these hands!

The night wasn't over without some games. We played 2 rounds of Mafia. Both rounds the cops died early on. First round, the Mafia won. Lucy was a damn good Mafia! Second round, the civilians killed off the Mafia.

Until next year......
