Muir Woods Earth Day

On a rainy Saturday morning AACO volunteers headed up to Muir Woods in Marin to help out the Golden Gate Parks Conservancy with their Earth Day project. 18 AACO volunteers left for Muir Woods early that morning and when they arrived, they were treated to a beautiful day with clear blue skies. Volunteers worked with park rangers to maintain one of the social trails in the woods. Volunteers hid side trails that could lead to erosion, planted a variety of different plants, and learned a little bit about nature from Ranger George. Everyone had a great time and were treated to a barbecue by the Conservancy after the event!
