San Francisco Symphony's Black and White Ball |

June 11, 2005 Many thanks to everyone who showed up on the evening of June 11, Saturday, to volunteer at the Black & White Ball, one of San Francisco's most popular, premier, and long-standing fundraisers which benefits the San Francisco Symphony's youth education programs. Over 60 AACO volunteers coming from all over the San Francisco Bay Area generously contributed their time to assist with greeting guests and ticket collecting. The Ball hosted approximately 10,000 guests that night. Most impressively, AACO provided the largest number of volunteers and was among outstanding organizations such as Bank of America who had employees volunteering at the event also. As a special thank you to AACO volunteers and other volunteer groups for helping out, once our shifts were over at 10pm, we had the awesome opportunity to attend the Ball, taste the gourmet cuisines and appetizers, sample delicious cocktails, and dance the night away while listening to music performed by the Village People, Train, Violent Femmes, and other award-winning celebrities and DJs! |
